Humans invented plastic, and we fell in love with it's convenience. We've enlisted plastic for millions and millions of uses, and now our planet is getting buried in this seemingly magical material, which takes up to 1000 years to break down. Adaptoids found an incredible plant-based solution to eliminate plastic from our product packaging for good.
Here's some brief history: In 2017, researchers have estimated that humanity has produced 8.3 billion tons of plastic. If you take a look around, you can find plastic invading the homes of our wildlife ecosystems like lakes, rivers, and of course our oceans. You've heard the sad stories of plastic straws gouging turtles noses, ducks getting caught in beverage waste, and plastic microbeads flooding the digestive tracts of fish.
Only recently have humans started to take action at solving this worldwide environmental crisis. As of Jan 1st 2020, Washington state has enacted legislation to remove all plastic bags from grocery stores, and many of our small-businesses are moving towards eliminating single-use plastics all together. It's important to understand that large and small companies of the world are largely responsible for the amount of waste they actively produce. Luckily, due to a recent awakening in sustainability research and technology, companies like Futamura Group, are producing fully compostable plant-based "plastic" films.
At Adaptoids, we are dedicated to optimizing the sustainability of our ingredients and reducing our environmental impact by housing our products in a biodegradable, home-compostable cellulose film known as Naturflex™. This hermetically sealable, static-free barrier provides durable long-term protection from the elements while keeping your CBD vitamins fresh and potent, and can be fully broken down in your home composting bin in around 3 weeks. This is one step in our long standing mission to be a carbon-negative company.

the future is compostable.
